Originally a fortress, it was transformed into the viewpoint we know today after King Alfonso XII visited in 1885 and declared the views to be worthy of all of Europe.

Caves of Nerja
Discovered in 1959, the Caves of Nerja are one of Spain's most visited attractions. This prehistoric site features stunning stalactites and stalagmites, including the world's largest known stalactite.
The caves also contain prehistoric paintings dating back over 20,000 years, making them an important archaeological site as well as a natural wonder.
